Finland investigates, boards oil tanker from Russia after internet and power cable outages

Finland seized the vessel’s cargo and believes that the ship was believed to belong to Russia’s so-called shadow fleet of ageing tankers.

Finland seized a Russian oil tanker suspected of causing recent internet and power cable outages between Finland and Estonia. The ship is believed to be part of Russia's "shadow fleet" - older tankers used to circumvent sanctions on Russian oil exports.
